Welcome
to District 5190! Physically the largest Rotary District
in the Continental U.S., the 54 vibrant Rotary clubs located
in this very diverse district covering parts of northeastern
California and more than 75% of the entire state of Nevada
are each individually unique in their mission of service to
their communities. Our district represents more than 2,400
dedicated and compassionate Rotarians who everyday practice
Rotary's motto of Service Above Self.
This informative and up-to-date website is designed to
assist both visitors, club and district members alike as to
the specific details of upcoming club, district and Rotary
International events as well as an enlightening tutorial of
each of our Avenues of Service. If you are a new visitor to
our website you can use the 'Site Map' link to the left to
quickly find the information you want. And be sure to login
as a guest (or District or Club Officer if applicable) so
that you can view contact information for our District and
Club Officers.

Conference - May 17-20, 2012
Jeanne and I extend a special invitation to you and your
family to join us for our "Back to the Future in Rotary"
District Conference and celebration, May 17-20, at John
Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks. Join in the fun including our
annual golf tournament, dynamic speakers, Speech and Music
contests, House of Friendship, breakout sessions, and club,
district, and RI awards. As we look "back" and to
the "future" we will celebrate Rotary's history
and its future
our youth. So please , come join in the

Rotarians to appreciate the link between the ideals of Rotay

serve as your primary contact at Rotary? Staff can answer
any question about Rotary as well as provide advice on club
elections, constitutional matters, club traditions and

District 5190 is pleased to support the unique polio
eradication program fundraiser noted below.
The Rotary Club of Medford, Oregon has patented a rose and
named it the "Goodbye Polio Rose." Our Club
is pleased to offer other Rotary Clubs an opportunity to
sell this rose as part of their own "Polio Eradication
Program" fundraisers. We are selling rose plants at our
cost and thousands are ready for immediate shipping! Check
